Overview
Full Time In Office Canonsburg PA Imperial PA Payroll Specialist responsible for supporting day-to-day administration of payroll for a large multi-state workforce ensuring accurate timely payments while maintaining compliance with company policies union agreements and applicable regulations. This role involves processing weekly payroll for 500+ union and non-union employees across multiple states reviewing discrepancies resolving inquiries and partnering with HR finance and departments to ensure timely processing of employee status changes deductions and earnings.
What You'll Do9
- 1Process weekly payroll for 500+ union and non-union employees across multiple states while meeting strict processing deadlines
- 2Review investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies timekeeping issues and employee payroll inquiries
- 3Process and maintain certified payroll reports in accordance with project and contractual requirements
- 4Process new hire paperwork and establish payroll records accurately
- 5Review payroll data for completeness and accuracy prior to processing
- 6Ensure compliance with union agreements wage determinations tax regulations and company payroll policies
- 7Partner with Human Resources and other departments to handle employee status changes deductions and earnings
- 8Maintain confidentiality of employee payroll and personnel information
- 9Assist with payroll audits reporting and year-end activities as needed
Requirements11
- 1High school diploma or equivalent
- 2Minimum of 2 years payroll accounting or related administrative experience
- 3Strong attention to detail with exceptional accuracy
- 4Ability to manage multiple priorities while consistently meeting deadlines
- 5Excellent organizational communication and problem-solving skills
- 6Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel
- 7Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
- 8Minimum of 3 years payroll experience
- 9Experience processing payroll for union employees and multiple states
- 10Experience with certified payroll reporting
- 11Familiarity with Workday or another enterprise ERP/payroll system
