What You'll Do11

  • 1Manage the full biweekly payroll process including review reconciliation approvals reporting and issue resolution
  • 2Prepare and submit certified payroll reports while maintaining compliance with Davis-Bacon prevailing wage laws and fringe benefit requirements
  • 3Review and allocate payroll costs across projects cost codes departments and general ledger accounts
  • 4Reconcile payroll deductions and employer contributions for medical dental vision retirement HSA FSA and other benefit plans
  • 5Process payroll changes for new hires terminations plan changes qualifying life events and employee status updates
  • 6Partner with Human Resources and Accounting to resolve payroll benefits employee data and job cost discrepancies
  • 7Administer payroll HRIS ERP timekeeping expense reimbursement corporate card and vehicle allowance processes
  • 8Support project accounting through labor cost review cost code verification and project reporting
  • 9Own payroll administration ensure compliance and improve HR-to-payroll workflows
  • 10Drive improvements in payroll accuracy and internal controls
  • 11Conduct benefit reconciliations for new hires terminated employees plan changes deductions and carrier invoices

Requirements9

  • 1At least five years of hands-on payroll processing and administration experience
  • 2Direct experience with certified payroll in construction general contracting skilled trades or project-based organizations
  • 3Knowledge of Davis-Bacon prevailing wage fringe benefit and construction payroll compliance
  • 4Experience reconciling employee benefits for new hires terminated employees plan changes deductions and carrier invoices
  • 5Familiarity with construction job costing project accounting payroll systems HRIS ERP and timekeeping platforms
  • 6Certified Payroll Professional certification preferred
  • 7Experience supporting payroll for commercial general contractors or construction management firms
  • 8Multi-state union or publicly funded construction payroll background
  • 9Ability to improve coordination between HR payroll and project teams
