Payroll Associate Northbound Search
Overview
We are hiring a Payroll Associate to lead payroll administration across multiple states. This permanent position requires onsite presence four days weekly and one remote day weekly. The ideal candidate will drive compliance and efficiency.
What You'll Do11
- 1Assist with bi-weekly and monthly payroll operations ensuring accuracy in taxation wage reporting and benefit plan deductions
- 2Maintain a no-compromise approach to compliance adhering to FLSA regulations Sarbanes-Oxley controls and company policies
- 3Maintain and enhance process documentation and SOPs
- 4Utilize ADP Vantage ADP Report Writer ADP Smart Compliance and Workday HR/HCM to support payroll process reporting and audits
- 5Leverage AI tools such as ChatGPT to draft communications summarize documents research payroll regulations and improve process efficiency
- 6Use advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to perform data analysis create workflow charts and prepare reports for leadership
- 7Work cross-functionally with HR and Finance demonstrating strong interpersonal skills to handle confidential data with integrity
- 8Collaborate with finance teams to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing
- 9Identify opportunities to streamline payroll workflows using automation tools
- 10Stay updated on changes in federal and state labor laws
- 11Provide training to temporary staff on payroll procedures
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance preferred
- 23+ years experience of multi-state US payroll and tax
- 3Strong understanding of FLSA multi-state payroll tax legislation benefits and SOX
- 4Proficiency working in Workday and ADP systems
- 5Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- 6Practical knowledge using AI tools for research and communication
- 7Verbal and written communication skills
- 8Ability to maintain confidentiality
