Payroll Administrator, Multi-State Payroll & Paycom
Overview
You will own end-to-end payroll for a 200+ employee workforce in Cranberry Twp, PA, ensuring accurate and timely processing across multiple states. Operating within a CPA firm environment, you will handle full-cycle payroll, maintain records, and resolve employee inquiries. You will work with Paycom and similar platforms to generate reports and support year-end activities. This long-term contract role offers the chance to refine your multi-state compliance and tax skills in a service-oriented team.
What You'll Do8
- 1Process end-to-end payroll for a multi-state employee population, calculating wages, deductions, and taxes with Paycom.
- 2Maintain payroll records and update employee data in the payroll system to support accuracy and compliance.
- 3Review timekeeping, earnings, benefit deductions, garnishments, and tax withholdings before each cycle to resolve discrepancies.
- 4Administer payroll for 200 employees, meeting internal deadlines and service expectations.
- 5Use Paycom to execute payroll tasks, generate reports, and support ongoing administration.
- 6Respond to employee and internal payroll inquiries, researching issues and explaining pay details.
- 7Reconcile payroll data and assist with audits, reporting, and year-end activities.
- 8Support payroll process updates or system changes, including adjustments for operational transitions.
Requirements7
- 12+ years managing full-cycle payroll from data review to final processing.
- 2Hands-on knowledge of multi-state payroll practices, including tax withholding and compliance.
- 3Experience supporting payroll for populations of 200 or more employees.
- 4Proficiency with Paycom or similar payroll systems.
- 5Strong understanding of payroll procedures, deductions, garnishments, and record maintenance.
- 6High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- 7Effective communication skills for addressing payroll questions in a service-oriented manner.
