Patient Registration Representative, Surgery Center & Financial Services
Overview
Own patient registration, authorization, and at service collections for a high-volume ambulatory surgery center. Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and billing to maximize reimbursement and provide exceptional customer service. You’ll work onsite in Phoenix area with a focus on accuracy, financial counseling, and meeting collection targets. This role is central to patient experience and revenue cycle performance at Banner Surgery Center Desert.
What You'll Do5
- 1Build patient pre-registration and registration records with accurate demographics and insurance data
- 2Design authorization workflows and verify eligibility to minimize denials
- 3Lead bedside collection attempts and meet monthly payment collection targets
- 4Owner financial counseling and explaining policies to patients and families to improve payment outcomes
- 5Scale collaboration with billing, payors, and physicians to optimize accounts receivable performance
Requirements5
- 1High school diploma or GED
- 2Knowledge of patient financial services or insurance processes with 1+ year of related experience
- 3Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
- 4Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- 5Proficiency with common office software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
