What You'll Do10

  • 1Greet all patients and visitors with a professional and welcoming demeanor, setting a positive tone for their visit.
  • 2Prepare patients for appointments and clearly communicate relevant visit information, including any required documentation.
  • 3Proactively notify patients of schedule delays and ensure their comfort during waiting periods.
  • 4Maintain a clean and organized reception area, enhancing the overall patient experience.
  • 5Collect and verify insurance cards, driver's licenses, authorizations, and referrals, and upload them into the practice EMR.
  • 6Perform demographic and insurance validation, and inform patients of privacy policies and procedures.
  • 7Schedule patient appointments and follow-ups using established policies and procedures in Google Calendar and EMR.
  • 8Collect co-payments, reconcile charges, and submit daily batches accurately.
  • 9Document all interactions and transactions in the EMR with precision.
  • 10Support the care team with additional administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements10

  • 1High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2Proficiency in medical terminology and insurance practices.
  • 3Skilled in Google Suite and practice EMR systems.
  • 4Competency in basic arithmetic for calculations, balancing, and making change.
  • 5Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding.
  • 6Excellent customer service skills with a proactive service attitude.
  • 7Effective verbal and written communication with diverse populations.
  • 8Ability to work independently with sound judgment and as a team member.
  • 9Flexibility to shift priorities and maintain confidentiality.
  • 10Preferred: BLS Certification and bilingual in English/Spanish.
