Medical Front Desk Lead - Heart & Vascular Clinic
Overview
Lead front desk operations for a multi-provider heart and vascular clinic. You will own patient check-out, billing accuracy, and front desk team coordination in a fast-paced environment. What You'll Do9
- 1Lead front desk scheduling and billing activities to ensure timely and accurate charge capture.
- 2Coordinate with clinical staff to obtain complete charge information for every patient visit.
- 3Code procedures and diagnoses on charges using ICD-10 and CPT standards.
- 4Resolve complex patient billing inquiries and disputes with insurance payers.
- 5Perform patient check-out: price services, collect payments, and schedule follow-up appointments.
- 6Verify payment and benefits for all patients per practice policies using EPIC.
- 7Coordinate practitioner schedules to maintain proper coverage for appointments and out-of-office calls.
- 8Train new hires and support ongoing training initiatives with the Practice Manager.
- 9Serve as a resource for Practice Managers and Physicians on denial and coding questions.
Requirements9
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- 24+ years of billing experience in a healthcare organization (required).
- 34+ years of office experience (required).
- 44+ years of medical insurance and referral experience (strongly preferred).
- 5Demonstrate good understanding of health insurance, medical costs, and coding (ICD-10, CPT).
- 6Strong customer service and communication skills.
- 7Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office and EPIC.
- 8Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- 9Team player who works collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
