Front Desk Billing Associate I
Overview
Texas Hearing Institute seeks a professional customer-focused Front Desk/Billing Associate I to join the Business Office team. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and families while providing administrative and revenue cycle support. The ideal candidate will greet patients and families professionally, answer telephone calls, check patients in and out, collect copays and outstanding balances, verify insurance eligibility, and maintain confidential patient records. The position offers limited backup support to the Credentialing & Provider Enrollment Specialist.
What You'll Do16
- 1Greet patients families visitors and vendors professionally
- 2Answer and direct incoming telephone calls
- 3Respond to patient inquiries and provide exceptional customer service
- 4Check patients in and out for appointments
- 5Collect copays deductibles outstanding balances and issue receipts
- 6Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information
- 7Ensure all required registration forms are completed
- 8Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- 9Monitor reception area to ensure a welcoming professional environment
- 10Receive and distribute mail deliveries and incoming correspondence
- 11Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
- 12Assist with insurance-related inquiries
- 13Process billing-related correspondence as assigned
- 14Maintain accurate patient account documentation
- 15Perform other billing support functions as assigned
- 16Provide backup support to the Credentialing Provider Enrollment Specialist

- 1Bilingual preferred excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish

- 10Experience using electronic medical records and practice management systems preferred
- 11Internet usage for insurance verifications
- 12Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook
- 13Use of office equipment computers keyboard iPad scanner fax machine copy machine postage meter
- 14Internet usage for filing claims gathering information and communicating
- 15Spreadsheets knowledge ability to create modify and electronically transmit
- 16Schedule and compensation Monday Thursday 730 am – 530 pm Friday 730 am – 300 pm $15-$17 hour
