What You'll Do9
- 1Communicate directly with patients and families to complete registration tasks
- 2Utilize computer systems to enter access or verify patient data in real time
- 3Gather clinical information and process referrals and pre-authorizations
- 4Verify insurance coverage and create price estimates
- 5Collect patient co-pays and discuss financial obligations
- 6Identify outstanding balances and attempt collections
- 7Respond to patient inquiries with compassion and respect
- 8Generate and analyze patient data reports
- 9Maintain current knowledge of emergency department registration requirements
Requirements5
- 1High School Diploma or GED
- 21+ years customer service experience in hospital or medical settings
- 3Ability to work Sunday Monday and Tuesday evenings
- 4Standing work for 10 to 12 hours daily
- 5Strong knowledge of medical terminology and insurance policies
