Partnerships Associate, Policy Reform & Fundraising
Overview
The Partnerships Associate helps build a roster of supporters and funders to advance a new approach to American foreign aid. You will identify targets, draft outreach materials, and manage ongoing partnerships to influence the design of the next foreign assistance system. This is a representational role in a startup-like environment that values tenacity, networking, and follow-through. You will collaborate with the Director of Partnerships, the Executive Director, and a broader advocacy team to build bipartisan support where possible.
What You'll Do7
- 1Build and maintain a partnerships roster with influencers, think tanks, funders, and advocacy groups outreach to identify opportunities
- 2Identify organizations and individuals able to influence the design of the next foreign aid system network across government, private sector, and nonprofit sectors
- 3Create outreach materials and messages that reflect TNFA values and priorities communication
- 4Track and vet potential partners and manage ongoing engagements to advance initiatives relationship management
- 5Lead or co-lead partnership initiatives with the Executive Director and team as appropriate program management
- 6Collaborate with advocacy partners to develop bipartisan support where possible coalition building
- 7Support fundraising efforts by identifying potential private sector funders and preparing tailored pitches fundraising
Requirements5
- 1Proven ability to network and build partnerships without a predefined playbook 3-5 years experience in policy, advocacy, or fundraising
- 2Comfort representing the organization across diverse cultures and viewpoints start-up mindset
- 3Ability to operate authentically in conservative policy environments while engaging reform-minded Democrats policy fluency
- 4Strong written and verbal communication skills with capability to produce outreach materials message crafting
- 5Willingness to travel regionally and internationally up to 10% and work in-person several times per week in Washington, DC travel readiness
