Director of Philanthropy Partnerships, Bay Area + Global Development
Overview
The Director of Philanthropic Partnerships will own and scale donor engagement from the San Francisco Bay Area, cultivating high net worth individuals to support Teach For Alls global mission. This role partners with the CEO and global program teams to build a network among tech, venture capital, and international development circles. You will craft personalized cultivation strategies and represent the organization at Bay Area events to accelerate high-impact giving. This is a chance to shape philanthropy strategy in a mission-driven, globally connected nonprofit.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and cultivate relationships with Bay Area HNWI and entrepreneurs to secure new investments in Teach For All
- 2Design personalized cultivation plans leveraging CEO leadership, program teams, and champions
- 3Expand the donor base by bridging tech, VC, and philanthropic ecosystems to grow support
- 4Plan and host donor experiences (dinners, fireside chats, site visits) to deepen engagement
- 5Represent Teach For All at Bay Area events and in communications to raise visibility and priority
- 6Develop compelling narratives of Teach For Alls approach and impact for diverse audiences
- 7Collaborate with global development and program teams to align donor opportunities
- 8Identify and partner with Bay Area champions to amplify fundraising through networks
- 9Nurture a proactive pipeline of prospects with a structured outreach strategy
- 10Track outcomes and adapt strategies based on donor behavior and feedback

- 1Bay Area connected: 10+ years of experience and relationships in the Bay Area, with a network across high net worth sectors

- 4Intellectual agility: strong critical thinking skills and ability to engage in high-level discussions with analytical donors

- 6Exceptional communication: ability to convey nuanced ideas simply and persuasively to diverse audiences
- 7Experience in philanthropy or development preferred but not required
- 8Strong event design and storytelling skills
- 9Comfort presenting to senior executives and CEOs
- 10Willingness to travel within the Bay Area and other locations as needed
Salary Insight
$140 - $170k per year
