Part Time Warehouse Associate, Refrigeration
Overview
You will own order processing and inventory control in a 36°F-42°F refrigerated environment at Cardinal Health in Nashville. This part-time role (4:00pm-9:30pm) reports to a work lead and supports compliance with OSHA, DEA, FDA, and cGMP guidelines. You will gain cross-training in material handling equipment, inventory systems, and quality control with opportunities to advance. What You'll Do8
- 1Pick, pack, and sort products accurately using handheld scanners and voice-picking technology to meet order deadlines.
- 2Perform quality control checks on orders to ensure compliance with OSHA, DEA, FDA, and cGMP standards.
- 3Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and warehouse management system updates, flagging discrepancies to supervisors.
- 4Operate pallet jacks and electric lifts to move products within the refrigerated storage area.
- 5Follow Standard Operating Procedures for safe handling of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies.
- 6Keep the workspace clean and organized, complying with Environmental Health and Safety requirements and reporting hazards.
- 7Stage products for shipment and load trailers using dock equipment while meeting productivity targets.
- 8Participate in cross-training for material handling certification and assist with special projects as assigned.
Requirements10
- 1No prior warehouse experience required; all training provided, but 6+ months in a physical role is a plus.
- 2Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, reach, and stoop for the entire shift.
- 3Comfort working at heights of 20-30 feet regularly using ladders or order pickers.
- 4Willing to work in 36°F-42°F refrigerated conditions for up to 10 hours or longer.
- 5Ability to work in a 5°F freezer for 30-minute increments followed by 10-minute breaks.
- 6Basic verbal and written communication skills in English.
- 7Ability to follow direction and adapt to changing priorities in a goal-oriented environment.
- 8Experience with computers or point of sale systems is a plus, but not required.
- 9High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 10Must be able to work Monday to Friday, 4:00pm to 9:30pm with possible overtime.
