Part-Time MFM Sonographer, Obstetrics & Maternal-Fetal Medicine
Overview
You will perform full-spectrum obstetrical ultrasounds in a high-risk MFM practice, serving patients across first trimester scans, anatomical surveys, third trimester assessments, and multiple gestations. Working onsite in Suffern, NY three days per week, you'll collaborate closely with the interpreting physician and support QA audits. This contract role offers $50-$70/hr and flexible scheduling, with a focus on exceptional patient care and diagnostic quality.
What You'll Do8
- 1Perform first trimester scans, anatomical surveys, third trimester ultrasounds, and multiple gestation exams using ultrasound equipment.
- 2Serve as liaison between patients and interpreting physician, explaining procedures and answering questions.
- 3Assist with QA audits and quality improvement activities to maintain AIUM compliance.
- 4Document patient history and scan findings in the EHR system.
- 5Maintain equipment and exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning.
- 6Participate in patient scheduling and workflow coordination to optimize clinic efficiency.
- 7Communicate abnormal findings to the physician immediately and document accordingly.
- 8Adhere to AIUM guidelines and OSHA safety standards during all examinations.
Requirements6
- 1RDMS certification (required).
- 22+ years of MFM sonography experience (required).
- 35+ years of Ob/Gyn sonography experience (required).
- 4Proficiency in obstetrical ultrasound techniques and AIUM standards.
- 5Ability to commute to Suffern, NY and relocate if necessary.
- 6Part-time availability on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
