Cardiac Sonographer - Maternal Fetal Imaging
Overview
As a Cardiac Sonographer at BB Imaging, you'll own the full sonographic imaging workflow from patient prep to diagnostic output, supporting high risk maternal-fetal care across multiple clinic sites in the Dallas area. You'll work with RDMS-certified peers and physician partners in a sonographer-led team, where your expertise shapes patient outcomes. What You'll Do10
- 1Perform cardiac and OB/GYN sonographic procedures, applying RDMS techniques to capture diagnostic images.
- 2Travel to assigned clinic sites within Dallas and surrounding areas, managing your schedule to maximize patient coverage.
- 3Inspect patient charts, reports, lab results, and medical history before each scan to tailor the procedure.
- 4Generate reports for physician documentation, summarizing sonographic findings and anomalies.
- 5Evaluate sonograms to identify or rule out fetal and maternal anomalies, flagging critical findings for physician review.
- 6Communicate sonographic findings to physicians in real time, supporting prompt clinical decisions.
- 7Provide visual sonographic guidance during amniocentesis, ensuring safe and accurate procedures.
- 8Report machine errors or service needs to maintain image quality and equipment reliability.
- 9Restock sonography rooms with necessary supplies, keeping every exam ready.
- 10Complete CMEs to stay current on disease processes and new protocols, advancing your expertise.
Requirements7
- 1Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- 2Current RDMS certification with an AE specialty (Adult Echocardiography)
- 3Knowledge of applied physics as it relates to ultrasound technology
- 4Compliance with HIPAA standards for handling EMR systems
- 5Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to stay calm under pressure
- 6Compassionate patient care approach, especially with high-risk populations
- 7Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, now or in the future
