Part-Time Driver for Individuals with Disabilities Civitan Foundation
Overview
Own local transport operations for adults and children with disabilities in the Phoenix area, driving a variety of company vehicles on a part-time schedule. You will ensure safe transport, assist passengers, and complete transport documentation. This role is onsite, contract-based and focused on compassionate, reliable mobility support. You will join a mission-driven team that prioritizes individual choice and safety.
What You'll Do8
- 1Drive company vehicles including wheelchair vans to transport passengers
- 2Assist passengers to enter, exit, and buckle seat belts and operate wheelchair lift as needed
- 3Load and unload baggage wheelchairs walkers and other items
- 4Perform pre-transport and post-transport vehicle inspections and checks
- 5Maintain and clean vehicles ensure safe operating condition and notify issues
- 6Complete documentation incident reports and transportation logs
- 7Interact professionally with members and promote their independence and dignity
- 8Adhere to safe transportation practices and company policies
Requirements5
- 1Must be 21 years of age or older
- 2Must be fully ambulatory and able to lift at least 50 lbs
- 3Pass criminal/background check and obtain fingerprint clearance
- 4Able to pass pre-employment drug screening
- 5Flexible and able to work well with others
