Overview
Own instructional support in a special education environment for students with varying high-incidence disabilities. You will work under the supervision of the special education teacher and contribute to inclusive learning experiences for multiple IEP goals. This role operates onsite in Chandler AZ with a focus on student wellbeing and safety.
What You'll Do6
- 1Build individualized support by reinforcing material for students or small groups to meet IEP goals
- 2Support social emotional development and implement behavioral plans to foster positive classroom behavior
- 3Supervise students during all school activities including drills, field trips, and lunch to ensure safety
- 4Maintain a quiet and orderly classroom and communicate student information to the teacher as needed
- 5Collaborate with a team to support district objectives and respond to internal and external inquiries
- 6Adapt to flexible duties and assist with miscellaneous tasks to support daily operations
Requirements5
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2Associate's degree or 60 semester hours or AZ parapro exam if Title 1 school
- 3CPR/First Aid certification provided
- 4Ability to operate standard office equipment and software
- 5Satisfactory criminal background check
