What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and deliver individual, group, and family therapy to support treatment plans
  • 2Design psychosocial assessments and initial discharge plans to align with patient needs
  • 3Maintain accurate documentation of services and revise plans as needed
  • 4Coordinate case management, discharge planning, and aftercare planning
  • 5Participate in treatment team meetings and collaborate with staff to facilitate patient progress
  • 6Provide training on behavior management and crisis intervention to clinical staff
  • 7Coordinate clinical, psychosocial, or educational activities with families
  • 8Evaluate referrals to other programs or facilities as part of comprehensive care
  • 9Assist in training of new clinical staff and interns
  • 10Acknowledge and address patient safety concerns and respond to complaints promptly

Requirements5

  • 1Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field
  • 2Four or more years’ experience as a therapist with two or more years’ experience with the facility's population
  • 3State or national licensure for professional therapy providers
  • 4CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification
  • 5First aid may be required depending on state or facility requirements
