Lead Therapist - Behavioral Health Program
Overview
You will build and lead the therapy program at Aster Behavioral Health, serving children, adolescents, and adults with diverse mental health needs. Joining a collaborative team, you will work alongside a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to deliver integrated care. This role includes supervising unlicensed therapists and shaping clinical workflows. Your expertise will directly influence the future of behavioral health in our growing organization.
What You'll Do9
- 1Build the outpatient therapy program, establishing clinical workflows, documentation standards, and best practices.
- 2Provide evidence-based psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults, including those with developmental disabilities and co-occurring disorders.
- 3Collaborate with a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to integrate psychotherapy with medication management.
- 4Lead interdisciplinary treatment planning and case consultation to ensure holistic patient care.
- 5Supervise unlicensed therapists and precept students and interns, guiding their clinical growth.
- 6Implement crisis management and intervention strategies to handle urgent situations effectively.
- 7Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- 8Develop referral relationships with primary care and specialty providers to strengthen continuity of care.
- 9Drive quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and program effectiveness.
Requirements8
- 1Active Illinois licensure as LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, or Clinical Psychologist.
- 23+ years providing evidence-based outpatient psychotherapy.
- 3Supervisory experience leading clinical teams or managing therapy programs.
- 4Experience with diverse populations in community or hospital settings.
- 5Proficiency with EHR systems and knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
- 6Strong skills in crisis management and intervention.
- 7Excellent communication skills for collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams.
- 8Knowledge of medical terminology related to mental health conditions.
Salary Insight
$119 - $131k per year
