Overview
You will own occupational therapy for an outpatient ALF program in Terrell, TX, serving a geriatric post-acute population. You'll join an in-house therapy team at Rowlett Health and Rehabilitation Center, collaborating with nurses and physicians. What You'll Do7
- 1Screen and evaluate patients with physical functioning disorders or wound care, creating individualized care plans per CAPLICO values and regulatory standards.
- 2Deliver skilled OT interventions including manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, and wound care, adapting to each patient's needs.
- 3Administer modalities and supportive devices, ensuring safe and effective treatment for geriatric patients.
- 4Consult with patients, families, and caregivers on physical disorders and home programs.
- 5Document evaluations, progress, and discharge summaries in compliance with clinical and regulatory requirements.
- 6Collaborate with the therapy team and nursing staff to coordinate care and optimize outcomes.
- 7Maintain productivity and adapt to physical demands, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Requirements6
- 1Occupational Therapist license in the state of Texas.
- 2Open to new grads and experienced OTs at all levels.
- 3Experience with geriatric or post-acute care populations is a plus.
- 4Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, transferring, and repositioning patients.
- 5Strong documentation and communication skills.
