Outpatient Behavioral Health Technician, BHT PRN
Overview
Owns direct services for Intensive Outpatient Program clients under licensed clinician supervision. Supports evidence-based group programming, skill acquisition, safety, and structured activity within a multidisciplinary team to promote recovery and wellness. This on-site role emphasizes hands-on care in a behavioral health setting and requires flexibility and strong group facilitation.
What You'll Do7
- 1Lead or co-facilitate psychoeducational and skills groups using structured curricula including CBT and DBT
- 2Assist clients in practicing coping strategies social skills and self-regulation techniques
- 3Document client participation progress and behaviors in an electronic medical record per program requirements
- 4Recognize and respond to crisis or aggressive behavior providing intervention and safety measures
- 5Maintain a safe structured and supportive environment during program hours
- 6Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure policy adherence and patient rights
- 7Ensure punctual attendance and preparedness for assigned shifts
Requirements6
- 1High School Diploma or GED
- 2Two years of behavioral health experience preferred
- 3Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
- 4BLS CPR and CPI Certification required
- 5On-site availability Monday Wednesday and Friday 4pm-7pm
- 6Ability to stand and walk for majority of shift and manage potentially volatile situations
