Optometrist, Geriatric Care & Mobile Eyecare at CMC Baltimore
Overview
OD with a passion for geriatric eye health join a mobile care team delivering eye exams and glasses to seniors. You will work 2 days per month in Baltimore, providing compassionate, patient centered care in facility settings. This role includes coordination with facility staff, an onsite assistant, and full scheduling and billing handled by the organization. You will contribute to a growing footprint across states by delivering accessible eye care where it’s needed most.
What You'll Do5
- 1Build comprehensive eye examinations for geriatric and underserved populations
- 2Diagnose and manage ocular conditions
- 3Prescribe corrective lenses and coordinate with facility staff to support patient needs
- 4Educate patients and facility staff on preventive eye care and condition management
- 5Ensure a respectful safe and comfortable environment tailored to geriatric needs
Requirements5
- 1OD degree
- 2Active state license in Optometry
- 3Experience in geriatric or mobile care preferred
- 4Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- 5Ability to work independently and adapt to facility based care settings
