Optometrist, Primary Eye Care & Patient Experience
Overview
You will own full-scope primary eye care at a single practice in Kansas City, delivering 15-25 exams per day with full clinical autonomy. You'll join a collaborative team of Optometrists and technicians using advanced diagnostic tools like Optos and OCT. The practice prioritizes work-life balance: no on-call, no late nights, and flexible scheduling. This role includes leadership pathways and full support for CE through an annual symposium.
What You'll Do8
- 1Deliver comprehensive eye exams with Optos and OCT for 15-25 patients daily.
- 2Diagnose and treat ocular disease, including glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy.
- 3Fit and manage contact lenses, including specialty fits for keratoconus.
- 4Educate patients on preventive eye care and treatment options.
- 5Collaborate with a front office team to streamline patient flow.
- 6Mentor new graduates and technicians during your second quarter.
- 7Participate in quarterly case reviews to improve clinical outcomes.
- 8Document all patient encounters using Practice Fusion EMR.
Requirements7
- 13+ years in clinical optometry practice.
- 2Licensed Optometrist in the state of Missouri.
- 3Proficiency with OCT and Optos imaging.
- 4Experience with myopia management and ortho-k.
- 5Strong patient communication and education skills.
- 6Ability to work 4-day weeks with flexible hours.
- 7Eligibility for Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents (TPA) certification.
