Overview
We seek an experienced Optical Sales Associate in Orlando to lead optical sales and deliver precise measurements. The role involves building patient relationships, driving sales, and ensuring accurate optical dispensing. Candidates must have prior optical sales experience and demonstrate strong communication skills.
What You'll Do11
- 1Build relationships with patients and provide an exceptional optical experience from frame selection through final dispensing
- 2Drive optical sales by confidently recommending frames lens designs and materials based on prescription lifestyle and visual needs
- 3Take accurate optical measurements including PD Seg Height and Optical Center
- 4Assist patients in selecting frames that provide proper fit while complementing their style and prescription
- 5Read and understand eyeglass prescriptions and verify finished eyewear using a lensometer
- 6Troubleshoot prescription eyewear issues involving measurements fit adaptation lens design and prescription concerns
- 7Educate patients about eyewear lens options and proper care
- 8Maintain accurate patient information and support optical inventory management
- 9Collaborate with optometrist and clinical staff for seamless patient care
- 10Apply Eyefinity software and experience with optical software platforms
- 11Work with vendors such as VSP EyeMed Davis Vision Spectera Sunshine Health and Ambetter
Requirements9
- 1Minimum 2 years of optical experience as an Optical Sales Associate Optician Apprentice or similar position
- 2Proven sales ability and confidence closing optical sales
- 3Bilingual English and Spanish proficiency
- 4Strong understanding of optical products lens options coatings frame selection and premium upgrades
- 5Demonstrated ability to take precise PD Seg Height and Optical Center measurements
- 6Ability to read and understand eyeglass prescriptions
- 7Experience using a lensometer to verify and dispense eyewear
- 8Excellent communication and customer service skills
- 9Professional organized detail-oriented self-motivated sales-driven individual
