What You'll Do9
- 1Design and implement signal processing algorithms for complex channel modeling and impairment mitigation
- 2Develop MATLAB simulations to validate functions and evaluate design alternatives
- 3Conduct laboratory testing of hardware functionality and verify algorithm performance
- 4Provide technical documentation and explanations for design decisions and trade-offs
- 5Collaborate with software teams to resolve customer-reported issues and improve design procedures
- 6Write specifications and test verification plans for optical components
- 7Maintain ESD-protected lab environment using oscilloscopes and signal analysis equipment
- 8Review system requirements and translate them into actionable engineering tasks
- 9Contribute to continuous improvement of design processes through code development and best practices
Requirements5
- 1Masters or PhD degree in Engineering focusing on digital signal processing communication systems or control systems
- 2Proficiency in MATLAB and understanding of modem building blocks like DAC/ADC amplifiers and IIR/FIR filters
- 3Experience with optical communication systems and lab environments
- 4Comfort with ESD protection and lab equipment operation
- 5Familiarity with Linux Git Bitbucket Jira/Confluence Microsoft Office
