Ops Manager People Operations, DeFi & Crypto
Overview
You will own People products end-to-end at Morpho, a leading DeFi lending protocol with over $1B in deposits and backing from a16z, Paradigm, and Coinbase Ventures. You will build the People infrastructure that lets managers and ICs make good decisions autonomously, replacing manual HR work with simple tools and workflows. This role sits at the intersection of People, operations, and product thinking, with a focus on using AI and automation to reduce friction. You will shape the employee experience for a fast-growing, remote-first team across GMT-3 to GMT+2.
What You'll Do10
- 1Own People products and projects from problem identification to rollout and iteration
- 2Speak regularly with managers and ICs to identify recurring friction in People infrastructure
- 3Turn recurring questions and manual work into clearer tools, workflows, or automations
- 4Improve onboarding so new joiners and managers know what to do without constant coordination
- 5Help improve performance, feedback, promotion, and career processes as Morpho scales
- 6Build and maintain compensation infrastructure: market data, principles, and decision tools
- 7Make People information easy to find, understand, and use through better documentation and dashboards
- 8Use AI and automation to reduce repetitive work and improve the user experience
- 9Support sensitive People situations when specific judgment, trust, or independence is needed
- 10Take on new People infrastructure problems where you can create the most leverage
Requirements9
- 1Experience in general operations (Chief of Staff, Ops Manager) or People Operations, or as a leader who has owned People topics directly
- 2Strong analytical and modelling skills, comfortable with numbers and Excel or Google Sheets
- 3Track record of earning trust and managing stakeholders across an organization, including senior ones
- 4Tech-savvy: proactive with new tools, AI, and automation
- 5Reasons from first principles and handles exceptions with logic rather than personal discretion
- 6Values simplicity and cuts process where process is not needed
- 7Understands a strong culture and carries it without trying to reinvent it
- 8Resilient to feedback on topics where everyone has an opinion
