Overview

Ophthalmic Technicians support ophthalmologists in diagnosing and treating eye conditions at our Lawrenceville clinic. You will assist during procedures, maintain equipment, and perform diagnostic tests to assess vision and eye health. This role requires familiarity with ophthalmic pharmacology and corrective lenses, and involves direct patient interaction. You will join a collaborative clinical team focused on delivering precise eye care and excellent patient experiences.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Build patient care processes by preparing the surgical room and equipment for procedures
  • 2Assist during eye surgeries and support the ophthalmologist with setup and observation
  • 3Perform diagnostic tests including refractions, tonometry, A-Scans, IOL Master measurements, and immersion tests
  • 4Explain procedures, treatments, and diagnoses to patients in clear, compassionate terms
  • 5Maintain sensitive ophthalmic equipment and keep exam rooms clean and organized
  • 6Interact with patients to address questions and concerns and facilitate the care plan
  • 7Complete preliminary patient workups and data collection for ophthalmic evaluations
  • 8Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure accurate patient records and timely workflows
  • 9Demonstrate strong computer literacy to support documentation and scheduling
  • 10Uphold safety and confidentiality standards in line with regulations
