Operator - Panning (1st Shift)
Overview
Georgia Nut Company seeks a dedicated Panning Operator for its Chicago facility. This role involves managing the chocolate panning process and supporting production operations.
What You'll Do11
- 1Operate manual belt coater equipment to apply chocolate to candies fruits and nuts
- 2Unload finished products into cartons and ship them to the warehouse
- 3Complete material worksheets and quality forms while conducting scrap reporting
- 4Monitor material consumption via AX system and report discrepancies to supervisors
- 5Maintain inventory accuracy and validate quality through sample retention
- 6Cross-train across departmental roles and assist in training temporary staff
- 7Ensure equipment cleanliness following 5s-GMP standards
- 8Report safety concerns material shortages and operational issues to management
- 9Perform allergen change-overs and obtain QA Supervisor sign-off before production
- 10Run continuous processes between shifts and execute shutdown procedures
- 11Stand for extended periods perform bending stooping and lifting up to 50 pounds
Requirements8
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons experience in food manufacturing
- 3High School Diploma or GED preferred
- 4Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- 5Basic reading skills for interpreting labels formulas and directions
- 6Knowledge of fundamental mathematics including measurements percentages and ratios
- 7Dependable adaptability to fast-paced environments
- 8Flexibility for weekend work and overtime during peak seasons
