Overview
The Operations Supervisor will lead daily operations at a recycling facility ensuring efficiency quality and compliance. This full-time exempt role reports to the General Manager at BLT Enterprises in San Francisco. Responsibilities include supervising staff optimizing workflows and maintaining accurate records while fostering a safe productive environment.
What You'll Do9
- 1Supervise and direct recycling facility staff including training and performance management
- 2Ensure compliance with company policies safety regulations and environmental standards
- 3Monitor and optimize facility operations including material flow equipment utilization and workflow
- 4Conduct regular quality control checks to verify materials meet specifications
- 5Collaborate with management to develop and implement process improvements
- 6Manage inventory track production metrics and maintain accurate records
- 7Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions
- 8Foster a safe and positive work environment promoting employee engagement and retention
- 9Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements11
- 1Bilingual English and Spanish
- 22+ years of experience in recycling operations or similar industry
- 3High school diploma or equivalent required
- 4Strong leadership and communication skills
- 5Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make informed decisions
- 6Knowledge of recycling processes and equipment
- 7Basic computer skills and familiarity with MS Office
- 8Willingness to work Saturdays and holidays
- 9Experience with recycling industry regulations and standards
- 10Certification in quality control or operations management
- 11Familiarity with material recovery facilities

$75 - $90k per year
