Overview
The Operations Specialist Landfill role supports WM's sustainable mission by providing clerical and administrative expertise. This position drives operational efficiency across a large family of over 60,000 employees while fostering a people‑first culture. What You'll Do8
- 1Troubleshoot safety and operational issues while maintaining KRONOS as the central hub for driver and helper updates
- 2Manage procurement time and attendance safety incidents and contract labor using Microsoft Suite and additional tools
- 3Process payments and handle financial tasks as required
- 4Implement operational projects and communicate with supervisors and managers about operational matters
- 5Serve as the KRONOS proxy ensuring accurate daily information distribution
- 6Assist employees with scheduling and work assignments
- 7Own and scale administrative solutions that improve productivity across departments
- 8Drive continuous improvement initiatives that align with WM's values of being people first and committed to growth
Requirements6
- 1High School Diploma or GED accredited
- 2Minimum age 18 years and legal eligibility to work in the United States
- 35+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 43-5 seasons of experience in similar administrative or operations roles
- 5Certified in the CPC Card or BCBA
- 6Proven ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment
