What You'll Do17
- 1Oversee day to day warehouse and transportation operations and associates
- 2Provide strategic leadership and support regional operations management with short and mid term planning
- 3Offer positive and inspirational leadership to all distribution center associates
- 4Ensure operations are performed in compliance with company policies and procedures
- 5Collaborate with Inventory Control staff to adhere to company standards for inventory and loss control
- 6Establish and maintain an effective staffing plan
- 7Manage full time and temporary headcount to meet budget and operational objectives
- 8Select train develop and motivate employees evaluate performance lead with courage combat turnover and maintain morale and culture
- 9Manage route logistics for efficient deliveries and ensure outstanding customer service
- 10Ensure a safe and healthy environment to protect employee well being and minimize risk and loss to the company
- 11Manage expenses to an operational budget and review cost of goods to maximize profitability
- 12Provide logistical input to streamline the operation while improving efficiency
- 13Work with Sales Management and Procurement to ensure a best in class customer experience
- 14Oversee maintenance and safety standards for the facility equipment and vehicles
- 15Approve credits for returns or pricing
- 16Ensure OSHA and DOT compliance for all employees equipment and vehicles
- 17Additional duties or special projects as assigned
Requirements12
- 15+ years of experience in warehouse or distribution operations with at least 2 years in a management role
- 2High school diploma or equivalent college degree a plus
- 3Inspirational leadership skills to build and retain a high performing team
- 4Strong knowledge of ERP and WMS systems with ability to learn and train others on new systems
- 5Knowledge of OSHA DOT and all safety compliance standards
- 6Experience in fleet management Lean Six Sigma or distribution related certifications highly preferred
- 7Clear understanding of Profit and Loss principles and budgeting
- 8Intermediate experience with MS Office
- 9Ability to be flexible and work extended or adjusted hours to ensure presence and support across all shifts
- 10Experience and ability to operate Material Handling Equipment and drive company delivery vehicles as necessary
- 11Valid driver’s license and safe driving history
- 12Ability to lift carry and move up to 50 lbs and walk climb kneel stoop and balance frequently
