Operations Lead, Solar Manufacturing & Cross-Functional Ops
Overview
The Operations Lead will own end-to-end operations across multiple departments at SEG Solar, coordinating accounting, sales, customer service, supply chain, logistics, and third-party partners. You will ensure accurate inventory management, on-time order fulfillment, and regulatory compliance while aligning production planning with sales demand. You will lead and develop the operations team in a fast-growing solar manufacturing environment. This role is differentiated by hands-on cross-functional execution and a strong emphasis on process improvement in a vertically integrated supply chain.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build cross-functional coordination between Accounting, Sales, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Production Planning to ensure accurate invoicing, cost control, inventory valuation, and timely delivery
- 2Design and implement processes to align sales orders with production capacity and delivery timelines
- 3Lead Supply Chain and Logistics management including finished goods, demand planning, and relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and 3PLs
- 4Own import and outbound logistics, ensuring compliant documentation and on-time shipments
- 5Manage inventory control and cycle counts, and perform year-end physical inventory
- 6Oversee the full sales order lifecycle from receipt to shipment, monitoring status and resolving delays
- 7Coordinate warranty claims with Customer Service and Accounting to ensure timely resolution and documentation
- 8Develop and mentor the operations team, creating SOPs and fostering accountability and continuous improvement
- 9Track KPIs for inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, logistics costs, and service levels and drive improvements
- 10Support ERP system enhancements to improve operational visibility and efficiency
Requirements5
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business, or a manufacturing-related field
- 22+ years hands-on manufacturing experience
- 3Strong cross-functional communication and problem-solving skills
- 4Experience with manufacturing, import/export, customs compliance, and logistics coordination
- 5Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office especially Excel
