What You'll Do15

  • 1Provide leadership guidance to staff delivering facilities maintenance and repair services
  • 2Supervise routine maintenance and repair of central cooling heating plans and associated systems
  • 3Conduct operational tests of new and existing system command and control points
  • 4Oversee preventative maintenance programs including logs reports and MSDS sheets
  • 5Schedule assign inspect and review staff work to ensure adherence to standards
  • 6Implement safety practices and enforce applicable regulations
  • 7Manage energy management program and set departmental goals
  • 8Conduct performance evaluations coaching and recommend disciplinary actions
  • 9Evaluate training needs and coordinate in-house training sessions
  • 10Approve overtime leave requests and schedules
  • 11Participate in recruitment and advise on hiring decisions
  • 12Act as liaison between management and line employees
  • 13Identify unit issues and develop resolution strategies
  • 14Determine material and equipment needs prepare estimates and sign off on contractor work
  • 15Supervise staff and ensure quality of repairs and installations

Requirements5

  • 1High school diploma or GED with 7 years facilities maintenance experience including 2 years supervisory role
  • 2Master License or Maryland Stationary Engineer 2nd grade license
  • 3Driver’s license
  • 4Relevant education or equivalent experience deemed sufficient for essential functions
  • 5Background check and degree verification required upon offer
