Operating Engineer Cushman & Wakefield
Overview
Responsible for ensuring efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical electrical and plumbing equipment across multiple properties. Ensure clean safe environments through daily rounds preventive and corrective maintenance painting and housekeeping.
What You'll Do12
- 1Perform all plumbing electrical or hvac requirements of the building(s)
- 2Maintain heating equipment chillers DX units pumps cooling towers fan coil units vav and air distribution systems
- 3Monitor and adjust mechanical pneumatic equipment steam stations control gauges distributor panels valves thermostats diffusers and other equipment
- 4Verify field conditions and perform necessary repairs or adjustments
- 5Monitor energy management and conduct repairs to plumbing fixtures
- 6Execute preventive maintenance tasks including filter changes coil cleaning condenser chilled heating and secondary water chemical treatment
- 7Inspect engine room fan room cooling towers motors house pumps electric rooms backup generators fire pump sump pump ejector pumps
- 8Replace lamps and light fixtures reinstall signage and verify clean rooms
- 9Check emergency exit signs and lights ensure clear access to exits
- 10Conduct fire and life safety inspections per nfpa and local jurisdiction requirements
- 11Document and report activities to supervisor respond to emergencies and address customer concerns
- 12Follow c&w safety training and dress code
Requirements9
- 15+ years of related work experience operating mechanical electrical and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting
- 2Appropriate license permit for trade such as journeyman master electrician refrigeration certificate high pressure boiler license high pressure steam operator license
- 3Valid driver's license with good driving record
- 4Basic computing skills in outlook excel and word
- 5Knowledge of energy management systems techniques and operations
- 6Physical ability to lift 50 lbs frequently and stoop stand climb and crouch
- 7Experience with hvac boilers heaters pumps refrigerant systems compressors water systems
- 8Certification as universal technician for cfc's may be required
- 9Ability to work extended periods without relief during priority situations
