What You'll Do9

  • 1Direct daily administrative business functions across San Francisco and Palo Alto offices, ensuring operational excellence and compliance with firm policies.
  • 2Lead and mentor direct reports, conducting monthly one-on-ones and managing performance evaluations, compensation planning, and onboarding.
  • 3Collaborate with the Director of Administration on strategic functional areas such as AI process improvement, communications, and talent management.
  • 4Engage with office lawyers to identify needs, support practice groups, and facilitate lateral integration for seamless onboarding.
  • 5Plan and facilitate partner meetings, presenting on business and financial matters, and prepare agendas and materials.
  • 6Partner with marketing to manage the office budget and client-facing opportunities, including maximizing ROI on sports ticket contracts.
  • 7Coordinate with Real Estate leadership on space planning, construction RFPs, and refurbishing projects.
  • 8Drive billing and collections initiatives to optimize cash conversion and meet office financial goals.
  • 9Represent the firm in community events and networking to enhance brand recognition, collaborating with the Alumni team.

Requirements9

  • 16+ years management experience in a professional services or law firm environment, preferred.
  • 2High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • 3Experience with facilities management, including design, construction, and contract negotiations, a plus.
  • 4Knowledge of basic accounting principles and budget management required.
  • 5Demonstrated ability to lead, make decisions, and foster teamwork.
  • 6Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with ability to negotiate and influence change.
  • 7Proven supervisory experience including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • 8Basic understanding of local and national labor laws and HR practices.
  • 9Elevated proficiency in MS Suite for business communications.
