OBGYN Physician, Hospital-Based in Lansdale, PA
Overview
You will own full-scope obstetric and gynecologic care at St. Luke's Hospital in Lansdale, PA, managing a high-volume patient panel and leading a care team that includes Advanced Practitioners. Working within a network of over 300 physicians and 25+ specialties, you'll collaborate with MFM specialists, NICU teams, and oncology services. This role stands apart with a focus on quality initiatives and direct patient education, backed by a supportive hospital system.
What You'll Do10
- 1Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations for all assigned patients, diagnosing and treating OBGYN conditions.
- 2Provide consultations for OBGYN patients referred by other physicians, delivering evidence-based recommendations.
- 3Round on inpatient and collaborative care patients, adjusting treatment plans and coordinating with APs (Advanced Practitioners).
- 4Drive cost-effective, high-quality care by adhering to standardized orders and approved practice guidelines.
- 5Communicate regularly with referring physicians, patients, and families, ensuring clear handoffs and follow-up.
- 6Lead patient education sessions on prenatal care, labor, delivery, and postpartum health, including gynecologic procedures.
- 7Supervise Advanced Practitioners, reviewing their clinical care and documentation to ensure compliance.
- 8Maintain current medical records and respond promptly to chart reviews and billing submissions.
- 9Attend continuing medical education to sustain Pennsylvania licensure and stay current with OBGYN practices.
- 10Collaborate with hospital departments and St. Luke's University Health Network teams to optimize care pathways.
Requirements8
- 1Graduate of an accredited medical school with completion of OBGYN residency or fellowship.
- 2Current or recent clinical experience in OBGYN within a hospital or group practice.
- 3MD or DO degree with active licensure in the state of practice (or eligibility).
- 4Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology by the appropriate medical board.
- 5Ability to obtain and maintain medical staff membership and privileges at St. Luke's Hospital.
- 6Eligibility for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health program enrollment.
- 7Qualification for professional malpractice and liability coverage.
- 8Physical capacity to sit, stand, walk up to 5 hours daily, and lift up to 75 lbs.
