Nursing Assistant Per Diem, Emergency Department
Overview
You will own basic patient care in the Emergency Department at Lahey Clinic Hospital, serving 35,000+ patients annually. Under supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will handle vital signs, ADLs, and clinical procedures. You will join a team of 35,000+ healthcare professionals across Beth Israel Lahey Health. This per diem role offers flexible shifts and a $20.00-$26.92 hourly base rate.
What You'll Do9
- 1Take and record vital signs, height, weight, and oxygen saturation, reporting unusual observations to the assigned nurse.
- 2Collect specimens for analysis and measure and record intake and output.
- 3Provide personal care and assist with activities of daily living, including nutrition and feeding.
- 4Perform basic clinical procedures under direct supervision, including access to non-controlled medications like IV solutions and vaccines.
- 5Support a culture of safety and carry out safety interventions for all patients.
- 6Adhere to infection control policies and procedures.
- 7Assist as a patient safety attendant after completing required competency.
- 8Assist with orientation of new Nursing Assistant colleagues.
- 9Participate in quality improvement activities and complete mandatory education.

- 2Basic ability to read, write, and perform four-function math
