Lead an L&D unit with accountability for 24/7 operations, staffing, and clinical excellence in a high-acuity maternal-child setting. What You'll Do10
- 1Build staffing plans, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure continuous L&D operations
- 2Design and execute initiatives to improve patient flow, care continuity, and safety outcomes
- 3Lead, coach, and develop nursing staff to achieve clinical excellence and professional growth
- 4Own budgeting processes, cost management, and resource utilization for the L&D unit
- 5Drive quality improvement and patient safety programs and monitor clinical outcomes
- 6Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- 7Design and implement policies, procedures, and best practices for the L&D environment
- 8Monitor compliance with The Joint Commission and California Nursing Practice Act requirements
- 9Support staff engagement, retention, and performance management
- 10Oversee regulatory compliance, equipment, supplies, and operational readiness
Requirements7
- 1Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- 2Minimum 5 years of patient care delivery experience
- 3Minimum 5 years of experience in business operations, clinical healthcare, or a related field
- 4Minimum 4 years of leadership/management experience
- 5Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
- 6Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- 7Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
