Non-Instructional Assistant, Part-Time Cafeteria/Playground
Overview
Own safety and welfare of students on campus by monitoring cafeteria and playground activities at a district site. Collaborate with school staff to report observations and incidents and respond to emergencies. Provide lunchtime assistance and maintain cleanliness in work area. This role supports a welcoming school community and requires dependable, on-time attendance.
What You'll Do7
- 1Monitor student activities in cafeteria and playground to support safety and welfare
- 2Counsel and intervene with students to maintain acceptable behavior
- 3Report observations and incidents to appropriate school personnel
- 4Respond to emergencies to address immediate safety concerns
- 5Assist students during lunchtime and perform routine cleaning tasks
- 6Maintain regular on-time attendance and perform related duties to ensure efficient operations
- 7Support other assigned duties within the work area as needed
Requirements6
- 1High School education or equivalent
- 2Must be at least 18 years old
- 3Experience working with and/or supervising children
- 4Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents
- 5Must be able to manage small groups of children
- 6Ability to enforce school rules, regulations, policies and procedures
