School Assistant, Childcare & Operations Support
Overview
You will own daily school operations at a Goddard School campus, supporting both clerical and classroom needs. You will manage student files, phone inquiries, and supplies while stepping into classrooms for teacher coverage. You will coordinate snacks, food deliveries, and playground safety checks. This role blends administrative precision with hands-on childcare support in a single location.
What You'll Do7
- 1Answer phone inquiries, direct calls, take messages, and provide basic school information to parents and visitors.
- 2Maintain and organize student files, ensuring records are current and confidential.
- 3Manage and distribute school supplies, tracking inventory and restocking as needed.
- 4Cover classrooms for teachers during breaks and absences, supervising students and maintaining routines.
- 5Track and prepare daily snacks for students, following allergy and dietary guidelines.
- 6Organize and manage food deliveries, verifying orders and storing items properly.
- 7Conduct daily playground inspections, ensuring equipment is safe and the area is clean and organized.
Requirements6
- 11+ year experience in a school, daycare, or childcare setting.
- 2Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for record-keeping and supply management.
- 3Ability to supervise children in a classroom setting, following school policies.
- 4Clear communication skills for phone and in-person interactions with parents and staff.
- 5Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds for supply and food distribution.
- 6Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).
