Network Engineer II
Overview
You will design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable network architectures for global Live Virtual Constructive (LVC) environments supporting the Navy. With 3–5 years of experience and CCNA or CCNP certifications, you will integrate enterprise and tactical network systems, focusing on routing, switching, firewalls, and VPNs. You will join a team of engineers in San Diego and Tidewater, collaborating on network optimization and security compliance. What You'll Do7
- 1Implement and maintain network configurations for routers, switches, and firewalls across LVC environments.
- 2Support network integration and deployment activities for enterprise and tactical systems.
- 3Troubleshoot network issues and support performance tuning to ensure optimal operation.
- 4Assist with implementation of security controls and compliance with STIGs.
- 5Document engineering changes and support configuration management.
- 6Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable network solutions.
- 7Drive network optimization initiatives to enhance performance and reliability.
Requirements8
- 13–5 years of experience in network engineering or related field.
- 2Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Networking, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3Experience with network technologies: routing, switching, firewalls, and VPNs.
- 4Knowledge of network protocols: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and VLANs.
- 5Relevant certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or Security+.
- 6Ability to obtain a Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI clearance; active clearance preferred.
- 7Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- 8US Citizenship required for clearance eligibility.
