Network Engineer, Cisco & Palo Alto | VDart
Overview
You will design, implement, and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, and data center networks for VDart. You will configure and support Cisco, Arista, and Juniper equipment, and manage routing protocols like OSPF and BGP. You will also administer Palo Alto firewalls, ensuring security and reliability across the infrastructure. This role is on-site in Englewood, NJ, and requires 13+ years of experience.
What You'll Do8
- 1Design and implement network solutions for LAN, WAN, and data center environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
- 2Configure and support routers, switches, and firewalls from Cisco, Arista, and Juniper.
- 3Manage and troubleshoot routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, VRRP/HSRP, and STP.
- 4Deploy and maintain Palo Alto firewalls, including security policies, NAT, GlobalProtect, and IPSec VPN configurations.
- 5Monitor network performance and resolve issues related to TCP/IP, VLANs, ACLs, QoS, DNS, and DHCP.
- 6Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network upgrades and migrations, documenting configurations and changes.
- 7Ensure network security compliance by implementing and auditing firewall rules and access controls.
- 8Provide on-call support for network incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.
Requirements7
- 113+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering, with a focus on enterprise and data center networks.
- 2Expertise in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco, Arista, and Juniper routers and switches.
- 3Deep understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, VRRP/HSRP, ACLs, NAT, QoS, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
- 4Proven experience with Palo Alto firewalls, including security policies, GlobalProtect, IPSec VPN, HA, and URL Filtering.
- 5Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for network performance tuning and fault isolation.
- 6Ability to work onsite in Englewood, NJ, and participate in on-call rotation.
- 7Excellent documentation and communication skills for network diagrams and change management.
