Overview
You will design, implement, and operate enterprise, data center, cloud, and market data networks for a hybrid environment in Englewood Cliff, NJ. You will work with Palo Alto firewalls, Arista switches, AWS VPCs, and corporate Wi-Fi to ensure reliable connectivity. Collaborating with a small team, you will drive network upgrades and troubleshoot complex issues. This contract role requires a final in-person round at the client site, signaling a hands-on, client-facing culture.
What You'll Do8
- 1Design and deploy Arista and Cisco switching fabrics for enterprise and data center networks, ensuring low-latency performance.
- 2Implement and manage Palo Alto firewall rules and GlobalProtect VPNs to secure remote access and segment traffic.
- 3Build and maintain AWS VPCs, subnets, and Direct Connect links to integrate cloud workloads with on-premise infrastructure.
- 4Optimize corporate Wi-Fi (Cisco/Meraki) for coverage and throughput across office locations.
- 5Troubleshoot routing and switching issues with BGP, OSPF, and VLAN configurations.
- 6Automate network provisioning using Ansible or Python scripts to reduce manual errors.
- 7Document network topology and change requests to ensure audit compliance.
- 8Support market data feeds (e.g., Reuters, Bloomberg) with low-latency network tuning.
Requirements8
- 15+ years hands-on network engineering experience, with at least 2 years in enterprise and data center environments.
- 2Expert-level knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls (PAN-OS) and GlobalProtect.
- 3Strong proficiency with Arista switches (EOS) and Cisco IOS/IOS-XE.
- 4Solid understanding of AWS networking (VPC, Direct Connect, Route 53).
- 5Experience with Wi-Fi design and troubleshooting (802.11ac/ax).
- 6CCNP or CCIE certification strongly preferred.
- 7Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG).
- 8Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
