NDT Technician Level II, Aerospace Manufacturing & NAS 410
Overview
NDT Technician Level II will lead Liquid Penetrant, Flow Testing, and Halide Leak inspections on aerospace components at scale in a precision manufacturing setting. You will contribute to quality control and non-destructive testing programs within a regulated environment and grow NDT certifications. You will join a site with on‑site work, two shifts, and a focus on high‑quality aerospace assemblies.
What You'll Do10
- 1Perform Liquid Penetrant inspections per procedures and customer specs to verify part integrity
- 2Conduct Flow Testing and Halide Leak Testing on aerospace components to detect defects
- 3Maintain process controls including dwell times, temperatures, and contamination prevention
- 4Verify equipment calibration and regulatory compliance for inspection tools
- 5Document inspection results and identify nonconformances for corrective actions
- 6Interpret applicable codes, standards, and technical requirements to ensure part conformance
- 7Support quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives within the facility
- 8Collaborate with manufacturing and QA teams to sustain a compliant inspection program
- 9Assist in training and mentoring new NDT staff on procedures and safety practices
- 10Maintain a clean, organized inspection workstation and adhere to PPE requirements
Requirements8
- 1High School Diploma or GED
- 2Level II NDT certification (NAS 410 or equivalent) or ability to obtain
- 3Experience with PT and leak/flow testing in aerospace or manufacturing environments
- 4Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and inspection systems
- 5Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- 6Willingness to work on-site in a manufacturing setting with required PPE
- 7Ability to stand, bend, and perform light lifting up to 15 lbs
- 8US Person status for ITAR compliance
