The successful candidate will conduct non-destructive testing and evaluation of components to ensure compliance with industry standards. They will perform various NDT techniques and generate inspection reports to support quality assurance. This role involves setting up equipment conducting inspections collecting data and identifying defects. It requires adherence to procedures and collaboration with teams to resolve quality issues.

What You'll Do11

  • 1Perform ultrasonic testing magnetic particle testing dye penetrant testing radiographic testing and visual inspection on components according to established procedures
  • 2Set up and calibrate NDT equipment to ensure accurate test results
  • 3Execute NDT tests following work instructions and collect data using appropriate documentation methods
  • 4Identify and document abnormalities for further evaluation or corrective action
  • 5Assist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
  • 6Maintain and troubleshoot NDT equipment following preventive maintenance schedules
  • 7Notify supervisors of equipment issues requiring attention
  • 8Follow safety protocols and participate in safety meetings and training sessions
  • 9Contribute to quality improvement systems such as 5 WHY and Lean
  • 10Conduct inspections and dimensional checks to verify component integrity
  • 11Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address NDT-related discrepancies

Requirements10

  • 1High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2Familiarity with magnetic particle testing dye penetrant testing and radiographic testing
  • 3Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documents
  • 4Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • 5Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork
  • 6Certification in non-destructive testing methods such as ASNT Level II preferred
  • 7Minimum 2-3 years of experience in NDT quality inspection or related field
  • 8Experience with visual inspection and ultrasonic testing
  • 9Knowledge of industry standards and codes governing NDT processes
  • 10Proficiency in reading and understanding technical specifications
