Manufacturing Technician Level 2, Aerospace Assembly
Overview
Build, assemble, process, and test critical aerospace and space subassemblies for a leading innovator in aviation and space manufacturing. You will work with precision measuring instruments and hand tools, following detailed engineering drawings and procedures. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams in a 100% onsite role in Beltsville, MD. This 6-month contract with PDS Tech Commercial offers a 9/80 schedule and the chance to contribute to mission-critical products.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build, assemble, process, and test subassemblies and assemblies for aerospace and space programs.
- 2Follow established manufacturing processes, procedures, and work instructions to ensure quality and compliance.
- 3Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and manufacturer manuals.
- 4Perform inspections and verify work meets quality standards using precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
- 5Accurately record manufacturing activities and test results in documentation.
- 6Identify and communicate nonconformances to management and quality assurance teams.
- 7Safely handle hazardous materials in compliance with OSHA and company policies.
- 8Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
- 9Support production schedules and operational goals.
- 10Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements9
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 22+ years of additional education and/or related manufacturing experience.
- 3Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions, procedures, and technical drawings with a high degree of accuracy.
- 4Basic math and measurement skills.
- 5Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- 6Strong commitment to quality, safety, and process compliance.
- 7Ability to communicate manufacturing issues and nonconformances effectively.
- 8Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- 9Position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to ITAR and/or EAR regulations.
