Manufacturing Technician I - Aerospace Assembly
Overview
You will assemble mechanical, electrical, and electronic components in a structured, team-oriented aerospace manufacturing environment where quality and safety are paramount. Under direct supervision, you will follow detailed work instructions, diagrams, and blueprints to complete kitting, assembly, part marking, and packaging tasks. What You'll Do9
- 1Prepare and assemble kits for electrical components, verifying that all parts meet specifications and quality standards.
- 2Assemble mechanical, electrical, and electronic components per technical drawings and work instructions, performing torquing, grinding, wiring, and fastening.
- 3Set up and operate part marking machines to apply permanent or temporary markings, following customer specifications and safety guidelines.
- 4Inspect parts for cleanliness and damage, then package them per customer-specific standards to prevent transit damage.
- 5Read and interpret work orders, packing instructions, and engineering drawings to determine packaging and labeling requirements.
- 6Use basic measurement tools with instruction to sort and verify parts by size and shape.
- 7Document assembly steps and test results in written logs or electronic systems.
- 8Communicate with peers and leads to clarify instructions, escalate issues, or report non-conformances.
- 9Maintain a clean and safe work area, wearing required PPE and handling solvents per MSDS guidelines.
Requirements9
- 1High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
- 20-1 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, with ability to learn and retain operational tasks.
- 3Capable of using basic measurement tools such as weight and dimensional scales with instruction.
- 4Able to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- 5Comfortable working with chemicals and solvents, following MSDS safety procedures.
- 6Strong attention to detail for counting, sorting, and inspecting parts.
- 7Basic computer skills preferred, including Microsoft Office and email; training provided if needed.
- 8Must pass a background check per customer guidelines and be authorized to work in the United States.
- 9Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds occasionally, and perform repetitive tasks.
