Overview
You will own MRI diagnostic imaging at Orlando Health's Bayfront Imaging Center, delivering high-quality scans for accurate interpretation. You'll work 12-hour shifts three days per week, mastering MRI safety protocols and advanced procedures. You'll collaborate with a dedicated team of radiologists and technologists, utilizing 3D Lab, IR, Breast, and Cardiac imaging. This role stands out with dual-modality cross-training and precepting new hires, deepening your expertise across multiple imaging technologies.
What You'll Do8
- 1Perform diagnostic MRI procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation, ensuring patient safety and image quality.
- 2Assess patient physical condition and age-specific needs, providing clear instructions for cooperation and optimal results.
- 3Position patients and equipment, adjusting technical factors to produce high-quality images in the first 90 days.
- 4Evaluate images for technical quality, annotation, and patient ID, ensuring all relevant anatomy is captured.
- 5Administer contrast media via power injectors, performing venipuncture and monitoring for adverse reactions.
- 6Apply MRI safety principles consistently, following standard precautions and using PPE to prevent cross-contamination.
- 7Supervise student technologists and train new hires, sharing expertise in MRI protocols and procedures.
- 8Utilize Radiology computer systems for accurate documentation and image archiving, maintaining compliance with Orlando Health policies.
Requirements7
- 1Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology, Sonography, Nuclear Medicine, or ARMRIT program.
- 22+ years of MRI experience with proficiency in advanced imaging: 3D Lab, IR, Breast, or Cardiac.
- 3Current ARRT certification in MRI or ARMRIT certification.
- 4Valid BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
- 5State of Florida CRT licensure preferred, but not required.
- 6Dual imaging modality proficiency, routinely performing in a secondary modality.
- 7Experience as a site proctor/preceptor for onboarding new hires and cross-training.
