MRI Technologist, Outpatient Imaging
Overview
Deliver advanced imaging in a calm, patient-centered environment at Fairfax Radiology Centers, the largest radiology practice in the DC region. You'll own MRI exams using advanced GE 1.5T and 3T systems, working with a collaborative team of more than 110 subspecialized radiologists. With a weekday schedule, no holidays or call, and a sign-on bonus, this role supports both your clinical growth and work-life balance. You'll focus on producing high-quality images while ensuring patient comfort, in an ambient setting designed for excellence.
What You'll Do8
- 1Perform routine and specialty MRI exams, including breast imaging, with confidence and accuracy on GE 1.5T and 3T systems.
- 2Produce consistently high-quality images that require minimal repeats, ensuring radiologists trust your work.
- 3Deliver a calm, supportive patient experience through clear communication and reassurance during every exam.
- 4Follow MRI safety protocols strictly, ensuring accurate documentation in PACS/RIS systems.
- 5Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams to provide timely diagnostic imaging.
- 6Adapt quickly to GE MRI systems if coming from another platform, integrating into the team within the first 90 days.
- 7Support patients through exams, addressing concerns and ensuring comfort in the ambient imaging environment.
- 8Expand skills in advanced areas like cardiac MRI and research studies as opportunities arise.
Requirements5
- 16+ months of MRI experience or completion of an MRI training program.
- 2ARRT (R) or MRI certification, or ARMRIT certification.
- 3BLS certification.
- 4Experience in outpatient imaging environments (preferred).
- 5Familiarity with PACS/RIS systems (preferred).
Salary Insight
$85 - $116k per year
