What You'll Do11

  • 1Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients
  • 2Assure patient safety by adhering to company policies and established protocols
  • 3Administer contrast as needed safely and effectively
  • 4Understand and use TR TE flip angle slice thickness acquisitions field of view and other adjustments to produce high quality images
  • 5Guide patients through difficult processes with clear explanations
  • 6Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients
  • 7Demonstrate competency safeguarding patient property and PHI
  • 8Safeguard on site medications according to policies
  • 9Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers
  • 10Interact diplomatically with patients families and public
  • 11Establish cooperative working relationships

Requirements5

  • 1ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification
  • 2State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology if applicable
  • 3BLS certification
  • 4Venipuncture certificate may be required depending on state regulations
  • 5At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience preferred
