Motorcoach Driver Trainer - FMCSA & On-Road Coaching
Overview
You will train newly hired motorcoach operators for David Thomas Trailways in Philadelphia. You will own the full training lifecycle, from classroom instruction on FMCSA regulations and Hours of Service to behind-the-wheel coaching and road tests. You will also conduct annual safety meetings, investigate accidents, and maintain driver qualification records. This role impacts every driver we hire and keeps our fleet safe and compliant.
What You'll Do6
- 1Deliver classroom training on FMCSA regulations, Hours of Service, customer service, ADA requirements, and company policies.
- 2Provide behind-the-wheel coaching to new operators, evaluating driving skills and administering road tests.
- 3Complete new hire documentation and performance evaluations.
- 4Conduct annual safety meetings and remedial training sessions.
- 5Investigate accidents and recommend corrective actions.
- 6Maintain driver qualification and training records.
Requirements5
- 15+ years of professional motorcoach driving experience.
- 2Excellent FMCSA/DOT knowledge.
- 3Clean CDL with Passenger endorsement.
- 4Strong coaching and communication skills.
- 5Previous driver training or safety management experience preferred.
Salary Insight
